The short version: we collect minimal data, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with third parties for advertising. This tool is ad-free and always will be.
1. Who We Are
The Daily Talent is a career resources platform built for job seekers and recruiters across the MENA and GCC regions. The Boolean String Builder at tools.thedailytalent.com is our flagship free tool.
2. What We Collect
We collect the following categories of data when you use the tool:
- Usage events — anonymous session IDs, tool interactions (e.g. strings generated, tabs clicked, features used). These are stored in our database and never linked to your identity unless you provide your email.
- Search data — job titles, regions, and skills you enter when generating Boolean strings. This is stored anonymously to improve the tool and understand usage patterns.
- Email address and name — only if you voluntarily submit the email capture form. Used to deliver the free resource you requested.
- Navi AI assistant name — if you tell Navi your name, it is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) only. It is never sent to our servers unless you interact with Navi, in which case it is included in the conversation context sent to our AI provider.
3. Local Storage
We use your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage for the following purposes:
- Recent Searches — your last 3 generated strings, stored for 7 days. Never sent to our servers.
- Navi name — your first name if provided to Navi. Clearable at any time via the "Forget me" button inside the Navi panel.
- Email modal state — whether you have submitted or dismissed the email form, to avoid showing it repeatedly.
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for tools.thedailytalent.com.
4. Analytics & Tracking
We use the following third-party analytics tools:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — tracks page views, session duration, and general usage patterns. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised session replays and heatmaps to help us understand how users interact with the tool. No personally identifiable information is captured. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Vercel Analytics — anonymous page performance and traffic data collected by our hosting provider.
5. AI Processing
The Navi AI assistant sends your conversation messages to Groq (our AI inference provider) via a secure server-side proxy. Your name (if provided) and conversation history are included in each request for context. Groq processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not store full conversation transcripts on our servers.
6. Database Storage
We use Supabase as our database provider. The following data is stored:
- Anonymous tool events (session ID, event type, timestamp)
- Anonymous search data (job titles, regions, skills — no name or email attached unless you submitted the email form)
- Email addresses and first names submitted via the email capture form
- Star ratings and feedback submitted via the feedback widget
All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies in place. We do not share this data with third parties.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access data we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to opt out of analytics tracking

8. Data Retention
Anonymous usage events are retained indefinitely for product analytics. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Local browser data persists until you clear it or it expires (Recent Searches: 7 days).
9. No Advertising
The Daily Talent tools are completely ad-free. We do not display advertisements, and we do not share your data with advertising networks or allow third-party advertisers to track you through our platform.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
